For developers

The install command lives in the “Component source” block below — a signed link that stays valid for 24 hours.

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, the palette in --vibeui-datagrid-005-*. A client component: the base rows live in one piece of state and the edits as an overlay in another, so "Cancel" restores everything in a single action and "Save" moves the overlay into the base. A cell at rest is a button spanning the full width: only that way does editing open from the keyboard, which a div with onClick cannot do. The input field takes focus when it appears and carries an aria-label with the name of the column and of the row. Enter commits, Escape cancels, and losing focus saves. Changed cells are marked with a fill and a dot, and the counter of unsaved changes is declared aria-live. The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(): by default the grid lays no panel under itself, it sits on the page background, while the background prop switches on a panel of its own.
