Toast Overshoot Button

A button that carries its own confirmation: the toast slides up past its rest position, settles, and leaves on its own a couple of seconds later.

What you can change

  • the button caption and the confirmation text (label, message, closeLabel)
  • how long the toast stays through the duration prop, in milliseconds
  • the accent and the backdrop through the accent and background props

For developers

The install command lives in the “Component source” block below — a signed link that stays valid for 24 hours.

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-button-072-* variables. The toast lives inside the root and is absolutely positioned, so no portal, provider or toast queue is required. It enters with a .55s overshooting spring on translate and scale, and leaves with a .28s ease-in and no overshoot. The toast markup is never unmounted (a transition needs a previous state), the closed toast is marked aria-hidden and its close button is disabled so it stays out of the Tab order. The timer resets on a repeat click and is cleared on unmount.
