Kbd
Key Chord Separator
A key chord with an explicit separator: "Ctrl + K" and "Ctrl then K" are different actions, and the word between the keys removes the guesswork.
What you can change
- the separator style through separator: plus, then or arrow
- the separator wording through separatorText
- the action caption through caption

Technical notes
A server component, there are no hooks. The keys are set with the kbd tag — that is its purpose, and a screen reader announces them as input. The separator sits in the markup as a node of its own rather than being drawn with a pseudo-element: the content of ::before does not enter the reading flow, and aloud the chord would turn into two unrelated keys. The separator variant is switched by the data-separator attribute, and the set of variants is kept in an object: plus for a simultaneous press, then for a sequential one, arrow for a transition. The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(): the component has no background by default, it sits directly on the page background and darkens with it, and a panel is switched on by the background prop.
