Category Usage Bars

Usage by category as a stack of bars on one shared scale: every track is normalised to the same capacity, so the lengths are comparable instead of each being its own hundred percent.

What you can change

  • the row set and the values through rows
  • the full quota through capacity
  • the measurement unit through unit

For developers

The install command lives in the “Component source” block below — a signed link that stays valid for 24 hours.

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-progress-005-*. A server component: no hooks. Each row is a grid of two columns (the name and the number) plus a track across the full width: the numbers line up in a column without table markup. The share is computed against capacity rather than against the sum of the rows, so free space stays visible. The row hue is taken from a hash of its name — a new category gets its own colour by itself and there is no lookup table; the hue is passed to the row through the inline --vibeui-progress-005-hue variable and substituted into oklch. Every track has its own role="progressbar" with a scale in capacity units and an aria-valuetext in words.
