Scaled Space Divider

A divider with scale-based spacing: five steps are multiples of one unit, so two boundaries in different parts of the page breathe alike.

What you can change

  • the spacing step through space: xs, sm, md, lg or xl
  • the line inset through inset
  • the scale unit through the --vibeui-separator-006-step variable

Technical notes

A server component, no hooks. The spacing scale is declared as multiples of the --vibeui-separator-006-step variable, and the xs…xl steps are switched by the data-space attribute — the scale is edited through one number rather than five values. The spacing lives on the divider itself rather than on the neighbouring blocks: that way the neighbours know nothing about each other and do not collapse their margins. The inset is turned on by the boolean inset prop and set by its own variable, so the line steps away from the edges of the list the way it does in system tables. There is no background by default: the palette is declared through light-dark(), the list follows the surrounding theme, and only a set background prop lays a panel under it. The list rows are exposed as the rows prop.
