Accordion

Permalink Accordion

An accordion where every question has its own address: a link into a closed section opens it by itself, with no line of JS — an answer can be quoted and sent.

What you can change

  • the items array: id, question and answer — id is required and must be unique on the page
  • marker — the section marker: chevron or none
  • defaultOpen — which section opens when the address carries no question id; -1 closes them all

For developers

The install command lives in the “Component source” block below — a signed link that stays valid for 24 hours.

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-accordion-014-*. Every details carries an id matching the question's id: when a link points at that id, the browser opens the section and scrolls to it by itself — that is part of the built-in fragment navigation algorithm, no JS involved. The link button sits beside summary rather than inside it, so clicking it does not compete with the ordinary click-to-toggle on the heading. The section matching the current address gets a faint fill through the :target selector. Mutual exclusion, as in accordion-001, is held by the name attribute on details. Padding and type size are computed from the component's own width through @container.
