Editor Tabs
Editor tabs you can close: on an unsaved file the close cross is replaced by a dot, so edits are not lost to one stray click.
What you can change
- the files array: names, the dirty flag and the contents
- defaultId — which file starts open
- the monospaced font and the row height
A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

For developers
The install command lives in the “Component source” block below — a signed link that stays valid for 24 hours.
Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-tabs-009-* variables. A client component: "use client" for the list of open files and for the selection. A tab is an element with role="tab", and the cross inside it is a separate button with tabIndex -1 and stopped propagation, so closing does not fire when switching. The dot of an unsaved file is replaced by the cross on :hover and :focus-within. A closed tab hands the selection to its left neighbour.
