Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-tabs-009-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-muted, border-border and the like); the dot instead of a cross on an unsaved file: a cross where the edit marker belongs leads to accidental loss of work; the stopPropagation on the close button — without it closing also switches the tab.

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-tabs-009-* variables. A client component: "use client" for the list of open files and for the selection. A tab is an element with role="tab", and the cross inside it is a separate button with tabIndex -1 and stopped propagation, so closing does not fire when switching. The dot of an unsaved file is replaced by the cross on :hover and :focus-within. A closed tab hands the selection to its left neighbour.
