Stage Rail

A horizontal stage rail: the connector takes the colour of a completed stage, and on narrow widths the rail scrolls with scroll-snap instead of folding into a column.

What you can change

  • the heading through title
  • the stages through stages: title, date and state done/current/todo
  • the accent colour through accent

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, zero dependencies, the palette in the local --vibeui-timeline-007-* variables. Server component: no hooks. The connector is each stage's pseudo-element, stretched from the centre of the node to the centre of the next one through left: calc(50% + 1rem) and right: calc(-50% + 1rem); it is coloured by its own stage's state and removed on the last one. A narrow width does not flip the rail into a column: a horizontal path folded into a vertical one lies about the order, so the list scrolls with scroll-snap-type: x proximity. The current node is marked with a box-shadow ring and aria-current="step". The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(): the block has no surface by default, it sits on the page background and darkens along with it.
