FAQ

Searchable FAQ

A FAQ with search: the filter matches question, answer and topic, and the number of results is announced aloud — otherwise the list change goes unnoticed.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • title — the section heading
  • placeholder — the example query in the field
  • emptyLabel — the text shown when nothing matches

Built from

The install command brings these components too. The block only passes them props: their palette and behaviour stay their own.

A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ

How do I add Searchable FAQ with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Searchable FAQ depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS. It also installs catalog components: input-004, accordion-007, heading-001.
What can I change in Searchable FAQ?
Adapt: title — the section heading; placeholder — the example query in the field; emptyLabel — the text shown when nothing matches. Keep as installed: the input-004, accordion-007, heading-001 imports from @/components/vibeui/ — do not inline their code into the block or swap in your own; the parts receive props only; the local --vibeui-faq-005-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; aria-live="polite" on the result counter: without it the list change under the field is never announced.
Is Searchable FAQ free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes

A composite block: imports input-004, accordion-007, heading-001 from @/components/vibeui/ — the install command brings them along with the block. The block owns the layout and its own text, passes the parts props only and leaves their --vibeui-<name>-* palettes alone. The block is a client one: "use client" is needed for the search field and useState, there is no other state. One file, no npm dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-faq-005-*. The filter splits the query into words and requires each of them to match in the joined "question + answer + topic", so "when will it arrive" finds the section about delivery. The result is computed in useMemo so that the list is not rebuilt on every render. The result counter is marked aria-live="polite": without it a screen-reader user never learns that the list under the field has changed.
