Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-checkbox-019-* variables. A client component: "use client". A chip is a label with a hidden input (clip-path: inset(50%)), and the state is taken through :has(input:checked). The tick appears through a width animation rather than opacity, so an unselected chip does not reserve blank space. The group is wrapped in a fieldset with a legend, and the reset button is disabled on an empty selection. The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(): by default the component lays no panel under itself, sits directly on the page background and darkens along with it; the background prop brings the panel back.
