Skeleton

Tile Grid Skeleton

A gallery skeleton that counts its own columns: auto-fill with minmax measures the block's width rather than the viewport, so a narrow card gets two tiles and a wide page gets six.

What you can change

  • the tile count through tiles
  • the minimum tile width through minTile
  • the screen-reader caption through label

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-skeleton-007-*. It is a server component: there are no hooks. The grid is declared as repeat(auto-fill, minmax(var(--vibeui-skeleton-007-min), 1fr)): the column count is derived from the block's own width, so the layout is equally honest inside a catalog card and on a full page. A tile is square by aspect-ratio rather than by height, so it stretches together with its column. The shimmer delay is handed out in a cycle of six values: the wave travels across the grid but does not stretch endlessly as the number of tiles grows. The root is marked with role="status" and aria-busy.
