Background
Photographic Atmosphere
A full-bleed photo background with a gradient scrim under the text: the atmosphere of a hotel, restaurant, architecture or personal brand. The photo keeps its natural colors, the interface on top stays on brand. The image is passed as a prop.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- src and alt — your photo and its description; do not ship the placeholder
- focus — the crop point: on phones you may need another one or a separate frame via your project's <picture>
- scrim — soft or strong to match the photo's contrast

FAQ
- How do I add Photographic Atmosphere with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Photographic Atmosphere depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Photographic Atmosphere?
- Adapt: src and alt — your photo and its description; do not ship the placeholder; focus — the crop point: on phones you may need another one or a separate frame via your project's <picture>; scrim — soft or strong to match the photo's contrast. Keep as installed: the imports from @/components/vibeui/ — do not inline their code into the block or swap in your own; the parts receive props only; the local --vibeui-surface-001-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the scrim as a pre-chosen dark zone with verified contrast — do not compute readability by mixing with photo pixels.
- Is Photographic Atmosphere free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes
A composite block: imports from @/components/vibeui/ — the install command brings them along with the block. The block owns the layout and its own text, passes the parts props only and leaves their --vibeui-<name>-* palettes alone. One file, zero npm dependencies, no JS. The image is a plain <img> with object-fit:cover; the crop point is the focus prop (object-position), alt is required by the frame's meaning. Without src a stylized CSS landscape placeholder renders with role="img". The scrim is a pre-chosen linear gradient of two strengths (data-scrim), not per-pixel math; the text hugs the dark zone (align start/end). Palette --vibeui-surface-001-*.
