Front Page Feed

A journal front page: a large featured piece on a warm accent panel on the left, a dense four-row feed on the right — one text gets all the attention, the rest are listed.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the featured object: topic, heading, excerpt, author and reading metrics
  • the items array — the feed rows
  • eyebrow and title above the layout

Built from

The install command brings these components too. The block only passes them props: their palette and behaviour stay their own.

FAQ

How do I add Front Page Feed with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Front Page Feed depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS. It also installs catalog components: heading-001.
What can I change in Front Page Feed?
Adapt: the featured object: topic, heading, excerpt, author and reading metrics; the items array — the feed rows; eyebrow and title above the layout. Keep as installed: the heading-001 imports from @/components/vibeui/ — do not inline their code into the block or swap in your own; the parts receive props only; the local --vibeui-blog-008-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the «one large plus four rows» hierarchy: giving everyone a card means losing the lead piece.
Is Front Page Feed free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes

A composite block: imports heading-001 from @/components/vibeui/ — the install command brings them along with the block. The block owns the layout and its own text, passes the parts props only and leaves their --vibeui-<name>-* palettes alone. The block is self-contained: one file, no npm dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-blog-008-*. A server component: there are no hooks. The featured card sits on a warm color-mix tint of the accent, and the feed on the right is rows without covers: a row costs less than a card and does not compete with the lead piece. Both zones are clickable through stretched ::after links, and :focus-within holds the ring. Two columns are turned on by a container query at 56rem; below that the feed stacks under the card.
