Slider

Date Range Slider

A date range on a slider: when the dates are still fuzzy — "late September, about a week" — a calendar demands precision nobody has yet.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • label — the filter caption
  • startDate — the base date of the scale
  • days — the scale length in days

A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ

How do I add Date Range Slider with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Date Range Slider depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Date Range Slider?
Adapt: label — the filter caption; startDate — the base date of the scale; days — the scale length in days. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-range-003-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; light-dark() in the palette: the component has to follow the surrounding color-scheme rather than ship a dark theme of its own; the transparent surface by default — the component sits on the page background instead of laying a panel under itself.
Is Date Range Slider free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

For developers

npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/range-003.json

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, zero dependencies, the palette in the local --vibeui-range-003-* variables. Client-side: state holds day numbers counted from a base date rather than the dates themselves — integers compare and step without date arithmetic. The captions are assembled through Date.UTC and printed with timeZone UTC, otherwise negative offsets shift the date a day back. There are two sliders and they lie on top of each other: the track is disabled for events, the thumbs are not. Each slider is given an aria-valuetext, so a screen reader announces the date rather than the day number.
