Technical notes

Client component: useState for the value; the ticks and the captions under them are positioned as percentages of the range through an inline style rather than in grid columns — that way a scale with an uneven step (6, 12, 24…) stays accurate. The ticks are drawn as a separate layer over the track with pointer-events:none, while the thumb travels freely between them. The palette lives in --vibeui-slider-010-*. The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(): the component has no surface of its own by default, it sits directly on the page background. The background prop turns on a surface of its own, and then the theme branch is computed from its lightness.
