Cascader
Nested Flyout
A cascader as a nested menu: a branch opens to the right in a native HTML popover, without a single line of client-side JavaScript.
What you can change
- the menu caption through heading
- branchText — the aria label template for a branch, with {label}
- the accent colour through accent

Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-cascader-003-* variables. Server-side: no hooks, the opening is driven by the browser through popover and popovertarget. The third-level button lies inside the second-level panel, so the browser treats the popovers as nested and does not dismiss the parent when a descendant opens. The panel position is held by CSS anchor positioning: an anchor name cannot be assembled on the fly, so the rules for 24 slots are generated in advance and a branch is given its slot number at render time. Without anchor support the panel opens in the centre of the screen — ugly, but clickable. The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(): the menu has no surface of its own by default, the panels carry their own surface and darken together with the page.
