A waterfall: how the opening balance became the closing one. Inflows and outflows float on the running total, the totals stand on zero, and connectors hold the level.

The install command lives in the “Component source” block below — a signed link that stays valid for 24 hours.
Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, zero dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-chart-018-* variables. Server component: no hooks. The running total is computed in advance: every column needs both a bottom and a top, so one pass over the steps turns the values into from-to pairs. Columns flagged total are drawn from zero, the rest from the previous level; the colour comes from the sign of the value rather than from the data. Dashed connectors join a step's top to the start of the next one. The data is mirrored in a visually hidden table with the running total. Motion: waterfall steps grow left to right one after another, totals last; reduced motion shows everything at once; animate=false turns it off.
