Activity Heatmap

A weekday-by-hour heatmap: a cell's intensity is computed with color-mix from its share of the maximum, so the whole scale rests on one accent variable.

What you can change

  • the matrix together with the days and hours labels
  • title — the map heading
  • unit — the unit named in the caption under the map

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, zero dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-chart-021-* variables. Server component: no hooks. The map is a CSS grid, and the number of columns arrives in the --vibeui-chart-021-cols variable, so the hour grid step changes with a single prop. Every cell gets --vibeui-chart-021-level with its share of the maximum, and the colour is computed as a color-mix between the accent and the empty background: the whole intensity scale rests on one variable. The day rows are assembled in fragments so that they land directly in the grid. The data is mirrored in a visually hidden day-by-hour table. Motion: cells fade in as a wave by index, hover highlights a cell and shows the value; reduced motion shows everything at once; animate=false turns it off.
