Outline Badge
An outline badge: border, text and surface are all derived from one hue, and a dashed line separates a draft from a published item.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change

FAQ
- How do I add Outline Badge with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Outline Badge depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Outline Badge?
- Adapt: the hue through hue; the dashed border through dashed; the caption through children. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-badge-014-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; light-dark() in the palette: the component has to follow the surrounding color-scheme rather than ship a dark theme of its own; deriving every colour from one hue: hand-picked colours drift apart at the first edit.
- Is Outline Badge free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes
One file, zero dependencies, the palette in the local --vibeui-badge-014-* variables. Server rendered: no hooks. The whole look is derived from a single number: the hue prop is put into --vibeui-badge-014-hue with an inline style, and the border, the text and the surface are assembled by the oklch function with that hue — the palette does not have to be kept as a table. The surface is deliberately not transparent but its own in each light-dark() branch: the outline has to lie on the tone rather than on a random page background, and in the dark theme it is darker than the border. The dashed flag turns the border into a dashed one and mutes the tone, so a draft differs from a final one by the shape of the line, not only by colour.
