Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-badge-017-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the split between core and ripple: animating the dot itself loses the badge under reduced-motion; removing the rings under prefers-reduced-motion rather than just animation:none — otherwise a ring freezes expanded.

Technical notes

One file, zero dependencies, the palette in the local --vibeui-badge-017-* variables. Server rendered: no hooks. The beacon is assembled from two layers — a static core and rings that spread out with the vibeui-badge-017-ripple animation; each ring gets its own delay through the inline --vibeui-badge-017-delay variable, so the waves follow one another instead of blinking together. The prefers-reduced-motion rule does not merely stop the animation but removes the rings altogether: a frozen expanded ring around the dot would read as broken layout. The tone is switched by data-tone and changes only --hue and --chroma.
