Badge

Expiry Badge

An expiry badge whose wording changes along with the tone: "21 days left", "expires in 3 days", "expires today", "overdue".

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the number of days through days
  • the warning threshold through warnAt
  • the wording through stateText: the {days} placeholder receives the number with its word

A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ

How do I add Expiry Badge with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Expiry Badge depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Expiry Badge?
Adapt: the number of days through days; the warning threshold through warnAt; the wording through stateText: the {days} placeholder receives the number with its word. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-badge-020-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the change of wording, not just of tone: colour is the first thing lost in print and colour blindness; pluralisation through Intl.PluralRules rather than a remainder if-chain: "11 day" reads as a typo and undermines trust in the number.
Is Expiry Badge free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

For developers

npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/badge-020.json

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

One file, zero dependencies, the palette in the local --vibeui-badge-020-* variables. Server rendered: no hooks. The state is derived from the number of days and the warnAt threshold and goes into data-state, which changes only --hue and --chroma — four tones rest on two variables. The colour is not the main thing here: each state has wording of its own, so the term is clear in a black-and-white list and aloud in a screen reader. The number is declined through Intl.PluralRules: the language rules come from locale and the word forms from the dayForms prop, so "11 days" is correct without exceptions hard-coded into the component. The clock is inline SVG under aria-hidden.
