Technical notes
One file, zero dependencies, the palette in the local --vibeui-badge-023-* variables. Server rendered: no hooks. The width is set in ch and put into --vibeui-badge-023-width with an inline style. The end mode works with the standard text-overflow:ellipsis, with the ellipsis living on an inner node: text-overflow does not apply to a flex container and the string would simply be cut with no mark. CSS cannot do the middle mode at all, so the string is cut by the shorten function — the head and the tail are computed from the limit with the ellipsis between them; in a branch name and in a file path both ends matter. The full text goes into title and into the hidden caption, and the truncated version is marked aria-hidden.
