Activity Heatmap
A weekday-by-hour heatmap: a cell's intensity is computed with color-mix from its share of the maximum, so the whole scale rests on one accent variable.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- the matrix together with the days and hours labels
- title — the map heading
- unit — the unit named in the caption under the map

FAQ
- How do I add Activity Heatmap with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Activity Heatmap depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Activity Heatmap?
- Adapt: the matrix together with the days and hours labels; title — the map heading; unit — the unit named in the caption under the map. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-chart-021-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-card, --chart-1 and the like); computing the colour with color-mix from the share of the maximum: the entire intensity scale rests on one accent variable; the «less — more» scale under the map: without it intensity does not translate into numbers.
- Is Activity Heatmap free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, zero dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-chart-021-* variables. Server component: no hooks. The map is a CSS grid, and the number of columns arrives in the --vibeui-chart-021-cols variable, so the hour grid step changes with a single prop. Every cell gets --vibeui-chart-021-level with its share of the maximum, and the colour is computed as a color-mix between the accent and the empty background: the whole intensity scale rests on one variable. The day rows are assembled in fragments so that they land directly in the grid. The data is mirrored in a visually hidden day-by-hour table. Motion: cells fade in as a wave by index, hover highlights a cell and shows the value; reduced motion shows everything at once; animate=false turns it off.
