Multi-select with collapsing chips: beyond the limit, selected values hide behind a "+N" button that expands and collapses the full row itself.
What you can change

Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own --vibeui-combobox-024-* palette. Client component: useState holds the array of selected items, the expanded flag and the query. The shown chips are computed as selected.slice(0, visibleChips) while the expanded flag is not set; the overflow — Math.max(0, selected.length - visibleChips) — is printed into a "+N" button with aria-expanded, which toggles the flag and turns into a "Collapse" button. Unlike a capped multi-select there is no upper bound on how much can be selected here — only the display collapses, not the selection itself. The list is a role="listbox" with aria-multiselectable, and the rows carry a checkbox indicator data-part="box".
