Technical notes
Client component: useState holds the selected value in order to update the icon and the caption in the button. The real <select> is stretched over the whole trigger area through position:absolute;inset:0 and opacity:0 — the click, the keyboard and the system list stay the browser's, while the styling is ours. The trigger is marked aria-hidden, because the accessible name and the value are already carried by the select itself. Focus is caught by the select:focus + [data-part=trigger] rule. The palette lives in --vibeui-select-003-*.
