Technical notes
Client component: useState holds the value, and the error is shown while it is empty. The state is lifted into data-invalid on the root, so CSS colours the border, the fill and the arrow through a single switch. The message is declared role="alert" and linked to the field through aria-describedby; the field is marked aria-invalid. The error glyph is drawn with a circle border and two pseudo-elements, without an icon package. The palette lives in --vibeui-select-008-*.
