Background

Particle sphere

A blue background with a living sphere made from hundreds of square particles over a quiet grid and distant pixel dots. Scrolling down pushes the tiles outward and thins the shell; scrolling back up gathers them into a dense globe. A small subset turns yellow on the way and gets a thin square target mark.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • Backdrop colour through background
  • Main tile colour through primary
  • Sparse cyan tiles through secondary

FAQ

How do I add Particle sphere with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Particle sphere depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Particle sphere?
Adapt: Backdrop colour through background; Main tile colour through primary; Sparse cyan tiles through secondary. Keep as installed: The canvas-based Fibonacci sphere, depth sorting and additive square tile rendering; the soft edges at the silhouette: without them the sphere looks cut with a compass rather than built from tiles; the stream from below landing in its slot: a tile has to arrive exactly at its place and flash — otherwise these are just passing dots.
Is Particle sphere free?
The preview is open to everyone; the source is available with a PRO subscription.

Technical notes

A canvas background inspired by Ameba's hero animation: particles are distributed on a Fibonacci sphere, depth-sorted and drawn as square blue tiles with sparse cyan accents. Under the canvas sits a quiet CSS layer: a large grid and distant square dots masked around the sphere so the blue field does not feel empty. During the break-apart motion, a small subset turns yellow and receives a thin square target mark around it. The destruction progress comes from the nearest scroll container or the window, so scrolling down expands and fades the shell, while reverse scrolling smoothly rebuilds the globe. The component caps devicePixelRatio at 2, pauses off-screen and in hidden tabs, supports prefers-reduced-motion with a static frame, and uses no external assets or dependencies.
