Navbar
Contextual Article Navbar
A reading and learning header: back to the section, a shortened title, a table of contents, a Next lesson action and a glowing progress bar. Progress comes from the project or is measured by the block.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- title and backLabel — the material and the section to return to; chapters — the contents
- progress — a 0–100 value from your scrollspy; null removes the bar
- autoProgress — the block measures the document itself when no one else does
Built from
The install command brings these components too. The block only passes them props: their palette and behaviour stay their own.

FAQ
- How do I add Contextual Article Navbar with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Contextual Article Navbar depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS. It also installs catalog components: button-016.
- What can I change in Contextual Article Navbar?
- Adapt: title and backLabel — the material and the section to return to; chapters — the contents; progress — a 0–100 value from your scrollspy; null removes the bar; autoProgress — the block measures the document itself when no one else does. Keep as installed: the button-016 imports from @/components/vibeui/ — do not inline their code into the block or swap in your own; the parts receive props only; the local --vibeui-navbar-018-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the single-line height: a reading header must not eat the screen of text.
- Is Contextual Article Navbar free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.
For developers
npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/navbar-018.jsonThis command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options
Technical notes
A composite block: imports button-016 from @/components/vibeui/ — the install command brings them along with the block. The block owns the layout and its own text, passes the parts props only and leaves their --vibeui-<name>-* palettes alone. One file, zero npm dependencies, a client component. By default the progress bar renders a value passed by whoever owns the scroll: one page should not measure scrolling twice. If there is no one to measure, autoProgress turns on the block's own measurement of the document through a passive scroll listener. The table of contents closes on Escape and on an outside click, its links get tabindex=-1 while closed, and the current chapter is marked with a vertical accent line. The bar never grows beyond one line and never eats reading height; in a narrow column the action is hidden, because going back and the contents matter more. Palette --vibeui-navbar-018-*.
