Navbar

Writer's navbar: serif name, sun/moon and a reading-progress line

Sticky header for a personal site: a serif name with an italic tagline, three sections with an underline that draws itself, a day/night switch (sun and moon cross-rotate) and a burger. The switch dispatches the vibeui-writer:theme event to the whole site. Along the bottom — an ink line showing how much of the page is read.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • brand, tagline, brandHref, links: label, href
  • defaultMode — where to start: night or day
  • sticky

Built from

The install command brings these components too. The block only passes them props: their palette and behaviour stay their own.

FAQ

How do I add Writer's navbar: serif name, sun/moon and a reading-progress line with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Writer's navbar: serif name, sun/moon and a reading-progress line depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS. It also installs catalog components: button-114.
What can I change in Writer's navbar: serif name, sun/moon and a reading-progress line?
Adapt: brand, tagline, brandHref, links: label, href; defaultMode — where to start: night or day; sticky. Keep as installed: the button-114 imports from @/components/vibeui/ — do not inline their code into the block or swap in your own; the parts receive props only; the switch dispatches window.dispatchEvent(new CustomEvent("vibeui-writer:theme", { detail: { mode } })) and listens to it itself, so every block stays in sync; data-mode="day"/"night" on the root sets color-scheme via :where; colors are light-dark() and crossfade over .6s.
Is Writer's navbar: serif name, sun/moon and a reading-progress line free?
The preview is open to everyone; the source is available with a PRO subscription.

Technical notes

A composite block: imports button-114 from @/components/vibeui/ — the install command brings them along with the block. The block owns the layout and its own text, passes the parts props only and leaves their --vibeui-<name>-* palettes alone.
