Free Versus Paid

A free plan next to a paid one: a light card against a dark one. The paid list is split into «everything in free» and «and beyond that», with no repeats.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the title and lede copy in the header and the note under the cards
  • the free object: name, price, caption, features and the action button
  • the paid object: name, price, period, caption, features, extra and the action button

Built from

The install command brings these components too. The block only passes them props: their palette and behaviour stay their own.

FAQ

How do I add Free Versus Paid with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Free Versus Paid depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS. It also installs catalog components: button-016, heading-001.
What can I change in Free Versus Paid?
Adapt: the title and lede copy in the header and the note under the cards; the free object: name, price, caption, features and the action button; the paid object: name, price, period, caption, features, extra and the action button. Keep as installed: the button-016, heading-001 imports from @/components/vibeui/ — do not inline their code into the block or swap in your own; the parts receive props only; the contrast of material between the cards: an inverted paid card reads faster than a coloured border on it; splitting the paid list into «everything in free» and «and beyond that»: repeating shared items forces line-by-line comparison.
Is Free Versus Paid free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes

A composite block: imports button-016, heading-001 from @/components/vibeui/ — the install command brings them along with the block. The block owns the layout and its own text, passes the parts props only and leaves their --vibeui-<name>-* palettes alone. A server component, one file, zero npm dependencies. The --vibeui-pricing-008-* palette is declared through light-dark(), so the block follows the surrounding color-scheme: the paid card is always inverted relative to the free one — dark in the light theme and light in the dark one. The section has no background by default and one is turned on by the background prop. The paid card is marked with the data-paid attribute and overrides the background, the caption colours and the button style. The paid list is split into two parts by a divider heading: repeating the shared items in the second column means forcing a line-by-line comparison by eye. The buttons are pinned to the bottom with margin-top:auto. The layout: a column up to 48rem, two columns from 48rem through a container query.
