No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.

Adapt: the stories array and their hues; seconds — how long a frame holds; label — the player's name. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-carousel-006-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the pause on hover and focus: without it the story text cannot be finished; bars instead of dots — they show both the count and the time left.
Is Story Player free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, zero dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-carousel-006-* variables. Client component: "use client". The progress is counted by a 100 ms interval and kept as a number from 0 to 100; the pause lives in a ref, so hovering does not cause a re-render. The halves of the frame are "back" and "forward" buttons with names. The background hue is taken from the current story.
