Empty State
An empty state that explains the next step instead of reporting missing data. The illustration is CSS and hints at the list to come.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- the title, description and actionLabel copy
- hint — the secondary line under the button: a shortcut, an import link; it is a ReactNode

FAQ
- How do I add Empty State with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Empty State depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Empty State?
- Adapt: the title, description and actionLabel copy; hint — the secondary line under the button: a shortcut, an import link; it is a ReactNode; onAction — the primary action handler. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-empty-001-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-muted, text-muted-foreground and the like); light-dark() in the palette: the component has to follow the surrounding color-scheme rather than ship a dark theme of its own; the transparent background by default — the component sits on the page background instead of laying a panel under itself.
- Is Empty State free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.
For developers
npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/empty-001.jsonThis command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options
Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-empty-001-*. The illustration is three CSS tiles with a rotation and different opacities: it hints at the list that will appear here and needs no illustration from a library. The dashed border separates the empty state from a filled screen. The padding and the heading size are computed from its own width through @container.
