Onboarding Checklist
A first run as a checklist: steps can be ticked in any order, a progress bar counts readiness, and there is one action that does not wait for everything to be checked.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- title — the empty state heading
- the steps array: the step heading and the explanation under it
- actionLabel and the onAction handler — the wording and firing of the primary action
A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ
- How do I add Onboarding Checklist with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Onboarding Checklist depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Onboarding Checklist?
- Adapt: title — the empty state heading; the steps array: the step heading and the explanation under it; actionLabel and the onAction handler — the wording and firing of the primary action. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-empty-013-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the steps as buttons with aria-pressed rather than decorative cards: the state must be reachable by keyboard; ticking steps in any order — this is a checklist, not a strictly linear flow.
- Is Onboarding Checklist free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.
For developers
npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/empty-013.jsonThis command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options
Technical notes
The component is client-side: useState keeps the ticks by step id. Every step is a button with aria-pressed rather than a checkbox: a click toggles the state, and the struck-through text and the fill mark it done. The progress bar and the counter are computed from the number of ticked steps. The checkmark inside the tick is an inline svg, drawn only when the step is done.
