Accordion
Native Accordion
An accordion built on native details and summary: it opens without a line of JS, and with no border or panel of its own the list sits straight on the page background.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- the items array: questions and answers
- marker — the section marker: chevron, triangle, square, plus or none
- divider — the row rules: line, dashed or none
A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ
- How do I add Native Accordion with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Native Accordion depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Native Accordion?
- Adapt: the items array: questions and answers; marker — the section marker: chevron, triangle, square, plus or none; divider — the row rules: line, dashed or none. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-accordion-001-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-card, border-border and the like); the native details/summary: replacing them with buttons and useState gives up find-on-page, keyboard behaviour and pre-hydration state; the name attribute on details — that is the exclusivity, no separate state is needed for it.
- Is Native Accordion free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.
For developers
npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/accordion-001.jsonThis command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options
Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-accordion-001-*. Native <details>/<summary> hold the disclosure, so the state works before hydration and needs no React. Exclusivity is turned on by the name attribute on details. The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(): the component has no background by default, it sits directly on the page background and darkens along with it. The marker is chosen with the marker prop and drawn by the component itself in a fixed-size box, so the text starts in the same place with any shape and the picture is identical in every browser. Padding and type size are computed from the component's own width through @container.
