FAQ

How do I add Read More with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Read More depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Read More?
Adapt: the heading through the title prop; the copy through the text prop; the number of visible lines through the lines prop. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-collapsible-003-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the line-clamp rather than a fixed height: pixels lie as soon as the type size changes; the gradient ending in the block's own background variable — on another surface it would show a band.
Is Read More free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

For developers

npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/collapsible-003.json

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-collapsible-003-*. It is a client component: "use client" for useState. The clamp is made by the pairing of display:-webkit-box, -webkit-box-orient:vertical and -webkit-line-clamp, where the number of lines arrives through the --vibeui-collapsible-003-lines variable from the lines prop — that is why the boundary always lands on a line baseline. The gradient lives in the ::after of the clamp container and ends in the same background variable as the whole card. The button is linked to the paragraph through aria-controls and carries aria-expanded.
