Accordion

Keybed Accordion

A section here is a key, and exactly one stays pressed: the open one drops, loses its bottom edge and settles into the bed, while the bed between the keys does the work of a border.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the items array: questions and answers
  • travel — the press depth in pixels, 0–4; zero turns the keys into tiles
  • ground — the bed colour; the key and its edge are derived from it

A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ

How do I add Keybed Accordion with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Keybed Accordion depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Keybed Accordion?
Adapt: the items array: questions and answers; travel — the press depth in pixels, 0–4; zero turns the keys into tiles; ground — the bed colour; the key and its edge are derived from it. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-accordion-013-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-card, border-border and the like); the two-pixel key travel: any deeper and the tactility turns into 2008 skeuomorphism; the absence of gradients and gloss on the key: those are exactly what separates modern tactility from Web 2.0.
Is Keybed Accordion free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-accordion-013-*. Exclusivity is held by the name attribute on details, and the design shows exactly that: one key stays pressed. The travel is set by the travel prop and lives in the --vibeui-accordion-013-travel variable, and the offset, the bottom edge and the inner shadow are all computed from it. The edge is drawn with a shadow rather than a border: a border would add height to the row and the travel would turn into a jump. The focus ring wraps the whole key through :has(summary:focus-visible). The dark branch reverses the physics: the shadow under the key is replaced by a recess darker than the bed, and the indicator picks up a glow. Padding and type size are computed from the component's own width through @container.
