Accordion

Timeline Accordion

A timeline accordion: a line with dots on the left, expandable entries on the right. That is how a changelog is read — by date first, then into one entry.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the entries array: a date, a tag, a title and the body
  • marker — the event dot: dot, ring or none
  • rail — the timeline line: solid, dashed or none

A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ

How do I add Timeline Accordion with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Timeline Accordion depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Timeline Accordion?
Adapt: the entries array: a date, a tag, a title and the body; marker — the event dot: dot, ring or none; rail — the timeline line: solid, dashed or none. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-accordion-009-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-card, border-border and the like); the native details/summary: replacing them with buttons and useState gives up find-on-page, keyboard behaviour and pre-hydration state; the line stopping at the last dot: a line trailing into nothing promises a continuation that is not there.
Is Timeline Accordion free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

For developers

npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/accordion-009.json

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in local variables --vibeui-accordion-009-*. Native <details>/<summary> hold the disclosure. The rail line stops at the dot of the last entry rather than trailing into nothing. There is no fill, and the theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(); a hollow dot needs a fill in the page colour, and by default that is the system Canvas, which follows color-scheme by itself. Padding and type size are computed from the component's own width through @container.
