Tree
Guide Line Tree
An expanded structure with real guide lines: on the last node of a branch the vertical is cut to the elbow's height, so the line ends there instead of trailing into empty space.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- the structure through nodes, including the note on a node
- the tree caption through label
- line — the colour of the level guides

FAQ
- How do I add Guide Line Tree with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Guide Line Tree depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Guide Line Tree?
- Adapt: the structure through nodes, including the note on a node; the tree caption through label; line — the colour of the level guides. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-tree-008-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; cutting the vertical on the last node: without it the line trails into empty space; drawing the elbows with pseudo-elements rather than ├ and └ — those end up in the clipboard on copy.
- Is Guide Line Tree free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-tree-008-* variables. Server rendered: no hooks, the tree is always expanded. The elbow is drawn by two pseudo-elements of the node: ::before is the branch vertical, ::after the crossbar at the middle of the row; on :last-child the vertical is cut to half a row, which produces exactly what the tree command prints in a terminal. The box drawing does not go into the text: the ├ and └ characters would end up in the clipboard when names are copied. The row height is lifted into a variable, because the crossbar position is measured from it. The tree, treeitem and group roles with aria-level describe the structure, and aria-expanded on branches is declared permanently true.
