Code Block

Listing Outline

A long listing you can walk through: the outline of declarations on the left, scrollable code on the right, and the target row highlighted through :target.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the listing rows through the lines array and the outline through the outline array
  • the file path through path
  • the height of the scroll area through maxHeight

FAQ

How do I add Listing Outline with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Listing Outline depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
What can I change in Listing Outline?
Adapt: the listing rows through the lines array and the outline through the outline array; the file path through path; the height of the scroll area through maxHeight. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-codeblock-019-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; a unique idPrefix per block: identical ids wire the anchors of two listings together; :target as the source of the highlight — state in the address gives a shareable link to a line.
Is Listing Outline free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

For developers

npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/codeblock-019.json

This command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, zero dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-codeblock-019-* variables. Server component: the transitions are ordinary anchors and the state lives in the page address, so a link to a line can be shared. The lines have ids prefixed from the idPrefix prop: two blocks on a page with the same prefix would tangle each other's anchors. The code area scrolls on its own and gets a tabIndex with role=region, otherwise it cannot be reached from the keyboard; scroll-margin pushes the target line away from the edge. The layout is computed from the block's own width and sits on the inner [data-part="shell"].
