FAQ
- How do I add Timed Toast with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Timed Toast depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Timed Toast?
- Adapt: the title and description copy and the undoLabel; tone: success, danger or neutral; duration — how many seconds the toast lives; 0 removes the bar. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-toast-001-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens (bg-card, border-border and the like); the time bar as a CSS scaleX animation driven by a variable — a setInterval timer would re-render the component dozens of times; keeping duration in sync with when the caller actually removes the toast: once they diverge, the bar starts lying.
- Is Timed Toast free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-toast-001-* variables. The time bar is a CSS scaleX animation whose duration arrives in the --vibeui-toast-001-duration variable from the duration prop: the timer is not counted in JS and causes no re-renders. The component itself only displays the notification: its appearance, the queue and its removal are governed by the calling code through onClose. The role is picked from the tone: danger is alert, the rest are status.
