Hero
Catalog Search Hero
A catalog hero whose door into the product is a search field: a GET form with an input and a button, a result counter beneath it and popular queries as links. It follows the surrounding theme and lays no panel of its own under the page.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- the title and lede copy, the searchLabel field label and the submitLabel button caption
- the counter text under the search line
- popularTitle and up to six queries in the popular list

FAQ
- How do I add Catalog Search Hero with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Catalog Search Hero depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS. It also installs catalog components: button-001, heading-001, input-001.
- What can I change in Catalog Search Hero?
- Adapt: the title and lede copy, the searchLabel field label and the submitLabel button caption; the counter text under the search line; popularTitle and up to six queries in the popular list. Keep as installed: the button-001, heading-001, input-001 imports from @/components/vibeui/ — do not inline their code into the block or swap in your own; the parts receive props only; the form as <form role="search"> with method GET and a field named q: with JavaScript off the block must still be a working search; popular queries as links rather than buttons: they point at result pages and double as internal linking.
- Is Catalog Search Hero free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes
A composite block: imports button-001, heading-001, input-001 from @/components/vibeui/ — the install command brings them along with the block. The block owns the layout and its own text, passes the parts props only and leaves their --vibeui-<name>-* palettes alone. A server component, one file, zero npm dependencies. The --vibeui-hero-013-* palette is built on light-dark(): a cool light base and a separate dark pair where the rules are lighter than the background. There is no backdrop by default — the section lies on the page background, and the background prop turns it on and sets color-scheme according to the lightness of the given colour. The form is marked role="search", the method is GET, and the field is a type="search" named q — without JavaScript it works as an ordinary search, and with JavaScript it is easy to intercept. The field and the button lie in a single pill frame, and the highlight on :focus-within covers both. The popular queries are a <nav> with a list of links carrying a ready query parameter: they are both hints and internal linking.
