Hero

Gadget hero: a CSS lamp whose light is driven by sliders

First screen of a product landing: a lamp render (transparent PNG) with CSS light layers over the diffuser; without it the lamp is drawn in CSS — body gradients, a glowing diffuser, a halo and a cast on the desk. Two sliders, “temperature 2700–6500 K” and “brightness”, change the light for real through color-mix and variables, and the headline fades in with the light. Lines slide in through masks, the dial on the body turns with the temperature.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • image, imageAlt — the front lamp render
  • eyebrow, title, lede, facts
  • primaryLabel, primaryHref, secondaryLabel, secondaryHref

Built from

The install command brings these components too. The block only passes them props: their palette and behaviour stay their own.

FAQ

How do I add Gadget hero: a CSS lamp whose light is driven by sliders with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Gadget hero: a CSS lamp whose light is driven by sliders depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS. It also installs catalog components: button-016.
What can I change in Gadget hero: a CSS lamp whose light is driven by sliders?
Adapt: image, imageAlt — the front lamp render; eyebrow, title, lede, facts; primaryLabel, primaryHref, secondaryLabel, secondaryHref. Keep as installed: the button-016 imports from @/components/vibeui/ — do not inline their code into the block or swap in your own; the parts receive props only; with image: [data-part=tint] (mix-blend-mode:color, the --light colour) and [data-part=dim] (multiply, opacity from --b) sit over the render's diffuser area; the light colour is color-mix(in oklab, warm, cold k%) from the -k variable; brightness -b drives the halo opacity, diffuser brightness and headline opacity.
Is Gadget hero: a CSS lamp whose light is driven by sliders free?
The preview is open to everyone; the source is available with a PRO subscription.

Technical notes

A composite block: imports button-016 from @/components/vibeui/ — the install command brings them along with the block. The block owns the layout and its own text, passes the parts props only and leaves their --vibeui-<name>-* palettes alone.
