Hero

Editorial Text Hero

A minimal typographic hero for a studio site: a large serif headline with an italic accent, one link with a growing underline and small-print colophon at the bottom. It follows the surrounding theme and lays no panel of its own under the page.

React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.

What you can change

  • the studio, title and lede copy
  • the label and href of the link
  • up to three index pairs in the colophon

Built from

The install command brings these components too. The block only passes them props: their palette and behaviour stay their own.

FAQ

How do I add Editorial Text Hero with Cursor or Claude Code?
Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
What does Editorial Text Hero depend on?
No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS. It also installs catalog components: button-077.
What can I change in Editorial Text Hero?
Adapt: the studio, title and lede copy; the label and href of the link; up to three index pairs in the colophon. Keep as installed: the button-077 imports from @/components/vibeui/ — do not inline their code into the block or swap in your own; the parts receive props only; the absence of buttons: the only action is a text link, and that is exactly what sets this block apart from every other hero in the catalog; the system serif-plus-sans pairing: no web font is needed here, and moving the headline to sans kills the whole idea.
Is Editorial Text Hero free?
Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes

A composite block: imports button-077 from @/components/vibeui/ — the install command brings them along with the block. The block owns the layout and its own text, passes the parts props only and leaves their --vibeui-<name>-* palettes alone. A server component, one file, zero npm dependencies. The --vibeui-hero-015-* palette is built on light-dark(): a warm paper base in the light theme and a separate dark pair where the rules are lighter than the background. There is no backdrop by default — the section lies on the page background, and the background prop turns it on and sets color-scheme according to the lightness of the given colour. The font pair is a system one: serif for the headline, sans for the rest — no web fonts are loaded. The link underline grows from zero through the background-size of a linear gradient rather than through a border: the line stays in place and does not shift the text. The colophon is a <dl> of pairs and lays out in three columns from 34rem through a container query. The only movement is the underline transition, and prefers-reduced-motion is declared for it.
