Grouped Options
A native select with sections on <optgroup>: identical names stop being confusing because the system labels the groups itself.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change

FAQ
- How do I add Grouped Options with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Grouped Options depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Grouped Options?
- Adapt: the field name through label, the explanation through hint and the sections through groups; the focus color through accent; the weight and color of the section headings. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-nativeselect-002-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the built-in <optgroup>: it gives a non-clickable heading and a spoken section name for free; the label attribute on optgroup — without it the section exists only visually.
- Is Grouped Options free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.
For developers
npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/nativeselect-002.jsonThis command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options
Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, palette in the local --vibeui-nativeselect-002-* variables. Server component: the only hook is useId. Sections are declared with the built-in <optgroup label>: the browser draws the headings non-clickable on its own, and a screen reader speaks the section name before the option — in a hand-built list the same thing has to be assembled from role="group" and aria-labelledby. The typeface of the headings is the only thing you can influence inside an open list, so optgroup gets a font-weight and a color, while option is returned to normal weight. The arrow is drawn with two borders and does not catch clicks.
