Day Groups
A feed cut into days: the day header sticks to the top of its own group, so it is always clear which day you are reading.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- the heading through title
- the days and entries through days: date, time, title and note
- the accent colour through accent
A link for your AI agent: preview, code and instructions.

FAQ
- How do I add Day Groups with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Day Groups depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Day Groups?
- Adapt: the heading through title; the days and entries through days: date, time, title and note; the accent colour through accent. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-timeline-008-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the sticky header inside its group rather than above the whole feed: otherwise the label lies about the day below it; the opaque sticky-date background in its own --vibeui-timeline-008-sticky token — rows show through a transparent one.
- Is Day Groups free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, zero dependencies, the palette in the local --vibeui-timeline-008-* variables. Server component: no hooks. The date is position: sticky inside its own group rather than inside the whole feed: the next date pushes the previous one out, so the label always refers to what is below it. The sticky date carries an opaque background — otherwise the feed rows show through it. The scroll area is capped with max-height and gets tabIndex and aria-label so that it can be scrolled from the keyboard. Each entry's dot is positioned absolutely and drops out of the row's grid flow. The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(): the block has no surface by default, it sits on the page background and darkens along with it, while the sticky date's background is held by a separate token, --vibeui-timeline-008-sticky.
