Type To Confirm
Deletion with a typed name: the project name cannot be typed by accident, so a mis-click never gets through.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- target — the name that has to be typed, and title — the question of the dialog
- losses — the list of what disappears together with the target
- hint, confirm and cancel — the field hint and the button labels

FAQ
- How do I add Type To Confirm with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Type To Confirm depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Type To Confirm?
- Adapt: target — the name that has to be typed, and title — the question of the dialog; losses — the list of what disappears together with the target; hint, confirm and cancel — the field hint and the button labels. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-alertdialog-002-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; light-dark() in the palette: the component has to follow the surrounding color-scheme rather than ship a dark theme of its own; the opaque dialog surface: a modal sits above the page and has to cover it, so it cannot be transparent.
- Is Type To Confirm free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.
For developers
npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/alertdialog-002.jsonThis command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options
Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-alertdialog-002-* variables. Client-side: "use client" for the sake of checking the input. The comparison is exact, with no case folding: the name is shown alongside in a monospaced font and copied by eye. The consequences are listed before the buttons.
