Keep as installed: the surface at the root of the block: a ghost exists only by contrast with it, on a bare background the button disappears; the absence of a border and a fill on the button itself at rest — that is the definition of a ghost; aria-current as the carrier of the active state: colour alone does not convey it.

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-button-033-* variables. Server component. The root of the block is not the button itself but the paper surface on which a ghost button is the only thing that reads; the button lies inside and is marked data-part="button". The active state is declared through aria-current, so a screen reader sees it too rather than colour alone. The washes are made with color-mix from the accent, there are no separate variables for the tints.
