Button
Back To Top Button
A back-to-top button with a progress ring: the scroll handler fills the ring and, when asked, hides the button until a threshold is passed.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- the button's name through the label prop, which becomes its aria-label
- the appearance threshold through the threshold prop, in pixels
- hiding before the threshold through the autoHide prop

FAQ
- How do I add Back To Top Button with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Back To Top Button depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Back To Top Button?
- Adapt: the button's name through the label prop, which becomes its aria-label; the appearance threshold through the threshold prop, in pixels; hiding before the threshold through the autoHide prop. Keep as installed: removing the listeners in the useEffect cleanup — otherwise they pile up on every mount; passive:true on the scroll listener: without it the handler slows the scroll itself; aria-hidden and tabIndex -1 while hidden: an invisible button must not catch Tab.
- Is Back To Top Button free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.

Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-button-046-* variables. Client component: the scroll and resize listeners sit on window, scroll is attached with passive:true, and both are removed on unmount. The scroll fraction goes into the --vibeui-button-046-progress variable and draws the conic-gradient ring. The button hides only with autoHide; while hidden it gets pointer-events:none, aria-hidden and tabIndex -1, so it does not catch Tab. Scrolling to the top runs with behavior:smooth, and instantly under prefers-reduced-motion.
