Popover
Repo Snapshot
A repository snapshot on hovering a pill link: description, language, stars, open issues and the last commit time — more than just owner/name.
React + Tailwind, shadcn-compatible: press “Copy for AI” and your Cursor or Claude Code agent installs it with the shadcn CLI.
What you can change
- the path through owner and repo, the description through about
- the language through language and its colour through languageColor
- the stars through stars, the issues through openIssues

FAQ
- How do I add Repo Snapshot with Cursor or Claude Code?
- Press “Copy for AI” on this page and paste it into your agent's chat. The instruction contains the shadcn CLI install command, the dependencies and what to keep, so the agent installs this exact component instead of recreating a lookalike.
- What does Repo Snapshot depend on?
- No npm packages beyond React and Tailwind CSS.
- What can I change in Repo Snapshot?
- Adapt: the path through owner and repo, the description through about; the language through language and its colour through languageColor; the stars through stars, the issues through openIssues. Keep as installed: the local --vibeui-hovercard-008-* palette — do not swap it for your theme tokens; the pill trigger with a language dot instead of an underlined link in running text — it is visible without reading the whole paragraph; the last commit time in the card header — the owner/name pair alone does not say whether a repo is alive.
- Is Repo Snapshot free?
- Yes. The preview is open without an account; with a free account you can copy up to 20 components a month.
For developers
npx shadcn@latest add https://vibeui.club/r/pro/hovercard-008.jsonThis command needs a signed link: sign in and open “Component source” below — it issues a working link valid for 30 minutes. All install options
Technical notes
The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-hovercard-008-* variables. Client-side only for the sake of Escape: the handler removes focus from the trigger and the card, held open by :focus-within, closes — the reveal itself stays in CSS. The reveal rests on :hover and :focus-within of the trigger wrapper. The trigger is a compact pill with a language dot rather than an underlined link inside the paragraph: it is visible at once, without reading the sentence to the end. The card supplies what the owner/name pair usually lacks: the time of the last commit in the header and the number of open issues in the footer next to the license.
